Inter-Faculty Cup
The Inter-Faculty Cup is a rugby football competition played at the end of the Rugby season between Forestry, Engineering, Law and any other Faculty who would like to challenge. The Cup (left) was presented in 1921 by a former President of the Student Association, Roy Twyneham ESQ.

Prior to 2001, the cup was only contested between Engineering and Forestry. Then the Lawyers thought they get in on the act. What they didn't realise was that there was already a trophy and were so characteristically cock-sure of their success that they got a trophy made.
This was unceremoniously consequentially handed over to the Engineers who were victorious in the 2001 contest. The cup has since been named the Hocken Cup and to prevent duplication with the Inter-Faculty Cup above, is solely for competition rugby between Law and Engineering
